Born Alaska. With 50 degree water, grew up on winter sports. While Cody loved downhill and cross country skiing, he excelled at snowboarding. Met an Alaskan surfer on a heliport trip in late spring to Alyeska to do some skiing. Intrigued by the thought of surfing, he studied Voss Victoria, the renowned European river surfer. Went to Florida for a winter holiday, hooked up with Sumatra Sam who taught him the basics. Sam saw Cody was a natural, encouraged him to pursue it. Cody realized warmer weather would be even better. Moved to Siargao, where his talent did the rest. Crowds call him "Cloud 9" because he gets serious airtime. Sky is always with him, surfing or not.

Fuels up on: "Yes, I miss Alaskan King Crab, but have grown very fond of bulalo, bananas, and coconut—everything in Siargao is better with coconut or bananas in it!"
Best Surf Memory: “Meeting Voss Victoria and river surfing in Europe, you can’t believe how much fun it is to surf continuously for a couple of miles!”
